The Super Falcons Of Nigeria kicked off their campaign in the African Women’s Cup Of Nations today when they battled South Africa at the Moulay Hassan Fus on Monday evening. The Nigerian Women National Team were defeated 2-1 by South Africa who showed more zeal and determination to claim all three points from the match.
Rasheedat Ajibade scored the Super Eagles’ only goal of the match while Hildah Tholakele Magaia and Jermaine Seoposenwe scored South Africa’s goals which gave them the win today.
Well, I wasn’t really impressed with the Super Falcons’ performance in today’s match as they lacked creativity in the middle of the park. The Nigerian Women National Team were more dependent on long balls to find their strikers upfront.
The Nigerian Women couldn’t orchestrate brilliant attacks from their midfield area as they weren’t creative at all in today’s match.
The Super Falcons Manager needs to work on the team’s pattern of play and improve their creativity to make them more deadly in their upcoming matches.
