1. UNICAL CES

UNICAL CES (Centre for Educational Services) is a five (5) years degree programme that lead to the award of a bachelor’s degree in selected courses.

However, it lasts for four (4) years for candidates admitted through direct entry (DE).

JUPEB is an acronym that stands for Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board. It is an Advanced level, approved, proven, and certified examination body, that was instituted and is organized by the University of Lagos. Essentially, the curriculum is identical to the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) managed by Ahmadu Bello University. It has coordinating bodies at various tertiary universities and linked study centers around the country. The program is particularly created to give a chance for applicants who, for one reason or another, are unable to get entrance to conventional degree programs at Nigerian universities. Candidates who are awaiting results (WAEC) may also enrol.

4. UNICAL PREDEGREE

The Pre-degree Programmes, previously called Remedial Programme, was elevated to its present status and upgraded to the status of a Directorate in 2016. The Directorate of Pre-degree programmes is a unit for preparing young Secondary School leavers for degree programmes in the University of Calabar.

UNICAL predegree is a one-year program comprising of two semesters. On completion, you are offered admission into a degree program to start from 100 level.

Predegree lectures in UNICAL usually hold from 7 am – 8 am (Monday – Friday) and 8 am – 2 pm (Saturday).
